The Pacific side of Panama has many
islands to explore. One in particular was fascinating - Isla Jicaron was a remote southern-most island in Central America with nothing but jungle and
howler monkeys. We spent three scary days there listening to them.
Isla Jicaron was a special location as we sailed down
the western side.
Then on to the Perlas Islands
And finally back to civilization with the Panama
skyline in view and the beautiful Bridge of Americas overhead.
But after three weeks in Panama City it
was time to transit through the canal. Especially after riding a few of
these high powered totally cool buses with loud stereos and tons of people.
These psychedelic designed school buses are everywhere in Panama and the drivers
all aced Mario Andretti's school of maniacal driving.
